Big Canoe has 22 miles of marked hiking trails that range from steep trails to paved hiking and bike riding trails. The nearby Dawson National Forrest, Amicalola Falls State Park, and the Appalachian Trail also offer numerous hiking trails of all difficulties. Our scenic north Georgia hiking trails are abundant with mountain laurels, rhododendron, wild flowers, and wild life, rival to any in the U.S. The Big Canoe recreation center has hiking maps of trails inside the property, and the main gate can provide maps of Big Canoe.
